I always love when my clients bring their furry friends to their engagement shoot! I am a HUGE dog lover so I always get so excited meeting new four-legged friends. There are so many awesome advantages to bringing your pets to your engagement shoot! You can use those photos for your save the dates, wedding decor, wedding signage or even to just hang around your home! It's the perfect opportunity to get some professional high quality images of your fur-babies as well.
Sometimes it is way too hard to bring your pets to your actual wedding and can be super stressful on the couple and the pet! However, there are so many ways you can include them in your wedding day without actually having them there! Name your signature cocktails after them, give out dog treats with your favors, decorate the venue with those awesome engagement photos we took ;), the possibilities are endless! Ok so I KNOW this sounds crazy but its 100% do-able. First off, you'll want to make sure animals are allowed at your venue. If so, then you'll have to decide what part of the wedding you want them there for! Most people choose to have their pets there for photos or the ceremony! Then, you'll want to find someone to be in charge of your pet the day-of. Whether its a family friend or you hire a pet-sitter, its important to make sure someone is there to walk them, feed them and cater to their needs! For my wedding, I hired someone to pick them up from my house, bring them to the wedding, take them home after the ceremony and watch them there! It was super easy and stress-free because I could focus on my wedding day without worrying about them!
